On September 26, 2017, Focus hosted its second annual fundraiser at Caprice Sea side. This event aimed at thanking supporters and donors, showcasing the achievements of Focus, present some numbers pertaining to goals achieved, and most importantly to further increase awareness to the cause and the need for ongoing support from donors whose help is crucial for Focus to achieve its mission.

Generous donations of artwork pieces were made by renowned artists this year which were sold at a silent auction- a complimentary fundraising component to the event. The respectable Alia Mouzannar donated 100 unique limited-edition pieces in support of the worthy cause. 

Support was endorsed on stage by Mr. Maxim Chaya who gave a touching speech about the struggles that can be faced by children experiencing mental health difficulties. Ms. Mariana Wehbe generously offered her time to MC and encourage auction participants.

Our achievements this year were also depicted in a heartfelt video that included clinicians from Focus, patients and families who discussed mental health prevalence in children and adolescents, the importance of the work of Focus, and the challenges of living with a mental health condition. The contribution of the well-known and loved Lebanese actor George Khabbaz to the video further added to the component of breaking stigma and raising awareness pertaining to mental health.
